The mission of the Whitfield Education Foundation is to increase student learning opportunities through innovative teaching grants, award student achievement, and honor retirees. The Foundation is a responsive, community-based, non-profit organization established in 1990. The Foundation strives to support the Whitfield County School System’s vision and educational mission.

Innovative Teaching Grants are a major focus of the Foundation. Several fund-raising events are held each year to help fund these grants. It is the goal of the Foundation to award at least $50,000 in Innovative Teaching Grants annually. Follow the Foundation on Facebook to stay in touch!

Traeger 575 Grill Raffle

The great folks at Elders Ace Hardware in Varnell GA  have again donated a Traeger 575 Pellet Grill for the WEF to raffle.  This raffle will begin on Monday, March 30- April 13, 2026.
 
Raffle Tickets are $10 each to win a top of the line Traeger 575 Pellet Grill with wifi, valued at $800.
 
All proceeds from the grill raffle will be used to provide innovative teaching grants for our Whitfield County School Teachers.  You may purchase here online or on venmo (see qr code)  If paying via venmo, PLEASE include your cell phone number in the event that you win the drawing!!
 
The drawing will be held in conjunction with the 32nd Annual WEF Golf Tournament.  A representative from Ace will be there to  pull the winning ticket.
